rundll error on startup

Little back ground.

I visited a P2P site (I know I know) and upon opening the main page received some malicious items. I caught this and deleted most of it using SDFIX & Malewarebytes. Now on startups I get this message

Error loading C:\WINDOWS\epexiyetukopib.dll

I know I have removed this file so I will go ahead and stop it from starting up using the MSCONFIG utility. What I want to know is what you more knowledgeable individuals can tell me about my DDS scan

I will also run a hijack this file and post it shortly.

Here is my hijack this file.

We apologize for the delay in responding to your request for help. Here at Bleeping Computer we get overwhelmed at times, and we are trying our best to keep up. If you have since resolved the original problem you were having, we would appreciate you letting us know. If not please perform the following steps below so we can have a look at the current condition of your machine.

If you have not done so, include a clear description of the problems you're having, along with any steps you may have performed so far.

Upon completing the steps below another staff member will review and take the steps necessary with you to get your machine back in working order clean and free of malware.

If you have already posted a DDS log, please do so again, as your situation may have changed.
Use the 'Add Reply' and add the new log to this thread.


Thanks and again sorry for the delay.

We need to see some information about what is happening in your machine. Please perform the following scan:
  • Download DDS by sUBs from one of the following links. Save it to your desktop.
  • Double click on the DDS icon, allow it to run.
  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.

Hi soonerlightning,

Welcome to Virus/Trojan/Spyware/Malware Removal (VTSMR) forum. I am going to assist you with your problem.

Please refrain from making any changes to your system (scanning or running other tools, updating Windows, installing applications, removing files, etc.) from now on as it might interfere with our fixes. Please let me know in your next reply if you agree with this.

Please don't quote the post and use the ADDREPLY bottom. Also copy and paste the logs instead of attaching them. Thank you.

Because the logs are posted a while back they don't reflect all the changes unless after posting the the log the computer is turned off and is not used. In that case you don't need to post new DDS logs. Tell me if that is the case and I will base my fixes on those logs. Otherwise make fresh DDS logs and copy and paste them to your reply.

In addition please do the following:

Download the GMER Rootkit Scanner exe file from here and save it to your desktop.
  • Temporarily disable any real-time active protection so your security program drivers will not conflict with gmer's driver.
  • Click on this link to see a list of programs that should be disabled.
  • Disconnect from the Internet and close all running programs.
  • Double click GMER.exe. If asked to allow gmer.sys driver to load, please consent .
  • If it gives you a warning about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run scan...click on NO.
  • In the right panel, you will see several boxes that have been checked. Make sure the following are unchecked:
    • Sections
    • IAT/EAT
    • Drives/Partition other than C:\ drive (C:\ drive should remain checked)
    • Show All (this one also should be unchecked)
  • Then click the Scan button & wait for it to begin. (Please be patient as it can take some time to complete).
  • When the scan is finished, you will see the scan button appears again. Click Save to save the scan results to your Desktop.
  • Save the file as gmer.log and copy/paste the contents in your next reply.
