Howdy from Texas!

First let me say how thankful I am for the admins and volunteers at bleepingcomputer.com! We would not be able to survive the digital jungle without you.

I work with international students and have a background in Chemistry. I started writing code on a TSR-80 back in who knows what year and have tinkered with PC's ever since.

I am an intermediate user. My friends come to me for help fixing computers and I, in turn, come to the experts and forums for help. Trojans/root kits seem to be the bane of my existence. I can fix most problems, but have not have a lot of success with malware that hijacks OS files.

I am trying to help my boss, who live in another city, fix his computer...it has all the signs of a trojan and it giving him fits. So, that is pretty much it for now. Off to the malware forum!

Hello and welcome to Bleeping Computer.

Please take the time, to browse the New User Orientation forum, to help familiarize yourself with how the board works.

Also, don't forget to check out the Tutorials.
There's a lot of very useful information, in there.

Good luck with your log and please be patient waiting for a response
