I need to get a portable external dvd burner for my new Asus netbook.
I have looked at the Asus SDRW-08DIS-U and the Samsung SE-S084C and can't find out much on google in respect of bit setting as I want to set to dvd-rom and as well don't want rip lock.
I have been using my Benq 162I with my Toshiba notebook for some time and it has all of what I want on the slim line for my netbook which I need a portable unit for.

I looked at the Sony DRX-S70U-W and know that one has Rip Lock and have removed that model from my list of possibilities.

I would appreciate any comments from experienced users, thank you.
