Everytime I try to run a full window program like watching a movie in full screen or playing a video game like CoD MW2, I frequently get brought back onto my desktop as though I pressed the window key to tab out. So far I've not received any error messages. My only activity on the internet lately has been torrenting movies off isohunt.com and some music files off of Limewire. A friend of mine had a similar issue 2 weeks about and from what I can remember, he had to deal with a virus called Kronic, or Kronik, some variation of that. I've tried running some virus scans, but it won't allow me to open any scan programs up.
My computer runs on windows XP. Compaq computer, pretty generic model, store bought non-tampered with.
Any help would be awesome, thanks.

Does the program literally close or does it just minimize?

It just minimizes, but... It doesn't matter now. After I tried to restart my computer just now, it woulnd't let me turn it back on (it gets stuck on the loading page) so I had no choice but to do a reformat :T
