Hi agdelt03,

Your log shows that you are seriously behind on windows updates. It is essential that you update your windows before we continue to help you as the infections could reoccur. Go to http://www.windowsupdate.com and if it asks to install software, let it. Then click on the Scan link and let it do its thing. When its done you will see on your left a section called critical updates. Click on that section and install everything that you can. When it prompts you to reboot, do so. Then repeat this process again until there are no more critical updates listed. Then post a new log.
Everyday is virus day. Do you know where your recovery CDs are ?
Did you create them yet ?

Hi agdelt03,

Make sure you are set to show hidden files and folders:
A. On the Tools menu in Windows Explorer, click Folder Options.
B. Click the View tab.
C. Under Hidden files and folders, click Show hidden files and folders.
D. Uncheck Hide extensions for known filetypes and Hide protected operating system files.
How to see hidden files in Windows

Run this registry script, which forces Windows to show so called "superhidden" files:
Copy the contents of the Quote box to Notepad, and save in a location of your choice as Unhide.reg (make sure to save as type: "All Files")

Doubleclick Unhide.reg, and answer 'yes' when prompted to add its contents to the Registry, then restart your computer.

This is only for XP or 2000 systems.

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer]
"SearchSystemDirs"=dword:00000001
"SearchHidden"=dword:00000001
"IncludeSubFolders"=dword:00000001

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced]
"Hidden"=dword:00000001
"ShowSuperHidden"=dword:00000001

Reboot and look in the C:\WINDOWS\System32\ folder for two files with the same name:
w?nspoolwowexec.exe (the "?" can be any letter)

Please send these files here: dsrk3r at yahoo dot com , in two separate zip arhives. Thank you.

And please wait, don't fix anything, I want someone else to look at your log.

Everyday is virus day. Do you know where your recovery CDs are ?
Did you create them yet ?

Print this instructions because you are not able to access the Internet in SafeMode.

1. Download Ad-aware SE 1.05: here
Install it. When you get the last screen, with the "Finish" button and 3 options, uncheck those three items.
Open AdAware and click the "Check for updates now" link. Close AdAware. Don't use it yet.

3. Please put these files in zip archive and send them to the same address dsrk3ratyahoodotcom . Thank you very much for helping us. :thumbsup:

Hi agdelt03,

Please read this: Spyware Stormer Privacy Policy, especially these paragraphs:
- Collection of Personal Information from Service Visitors
- Use of Personal Data Collected
- Spyware Stormer, Inc.'s Right to Contact Users

If you don't want to keep this program fix this:
O16 - DPF: {205FF73B-CA67-11D5-99DD-444553540000} (CInstall Class) - http://66.154.44.68/cam/Install.cab

You can use these three free programs: AdAware, Spybot Search & Destroy and Spyware Blaster.
  • Install Spybot - Search and Destroy - Install and download Spybot - Search and Destroy with its TeaTimer option. This will provide realtime spyware & hijacker protection on your computer alongside your virus protection. You should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software.

    A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:

    Using Spybot - Search & Destroy to remove Spyware , Malware, and Hijackers
  • Install Ad-Aware - Install and download Ad-Aware. ou should also scan your computer with program on a regular basis just as you would an antivirus software in conjunction with Spybot.

    A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:

    Using Ad-aware to remove Spyware, Malware, & Hijackers from Your Computer
  • Install SpywareBlaster - SpywareBlaster will added a large list of programs and sites into your Internet Explorer settings that will protect you from running and downloading known malicious programs.

    A tutorial on installing & using this product can be found here:

    Using SpywareBlaster to protect your computer from Spyware and Malware
  • Update all these programs regularly - Make sure you update all the programs I have listed regularly. Without regular updates you WILL NOT be protected when new malicious programs are released.
I don't know what this is:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\pvacmd.exe
If it's something installed by you keep it.

You can rename it pvacmd.exe -> pvacmd.exe.suspect

or fix it with HJT

2. REBOOT into SafeMode: Starting your computer in Safe mode, use the F8 method.

3. Run HijackThis!, press "Scan" and tick the boxes next to all these, close all other windows and browsers, then press "Fix Checked" button.

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [pvacmd] C:\WINDOWS\System32\pvacmd.exe

4. Search for these files and delete them if found:
C:\WINDOWS\System32\pvacmd.exe <-- this file

5. Empty the Recycle Bin.

6. REBOOT normally. Run HijackThis! again and post a new log.
