Skype 4.0 didn't work on a new laptop with windows 7. I had to uninstall because it messed up my ability to use media players and I got no sound from the speakers. Laptop is working fine now, but I still want to find a way to use skype so I can talk to friends around the world. Any ideas?

Edit: Moved topic from Windows 7 to the more appropriate forum. ~ Animal

You know, it was after 10/12/09 when I downloaded the program. That may be the one I tried...

Has anyone tried skype 4.1 on a windows 7 machine? If so, let me know if it worked! Thanks!

My fiance has Windows 7 and is running Skype without any problems. He had to get the latest version however. I will ask him what version he is running when he gets home from work.

Edit: Okay he says he is running 4.1.0.179 on Windows 7 and it works fine.
