hi i just want to ask something,

will a nvidia geforce 9600GT will fit on my motherboard(G31M-S Asrock).

cause I've heard from my friends that some Graphics card will not fit on a certain motherboard?

just wanna know cause i'll buy a new Graphics Card and i want to be sure so that my money will not go to waste. :D

That is a micro-ATX form factor, so there are two concerns
Case size - Will it fit?
Power supply - Probably need to replace it

Strictly speaking, yes, it will fit your board.

As pointed out above whether it will fit your case, and whether your power supply is beefy enough is the real question.

I am a retired Ford tech. Next to Fords, any computer is a piece of cake. (The cake, its not a lie)

3770K @4.5, Corsair H100, GTX780, 16gig Samsung, Obsidian 700 (yes there is a 700)

This is just a random picture of a power supply

It takes the 110/220 power from the wall socket and converts it to the different voltages used in a computer
Usually when upgrading a video card you will need to get a larger wattage power supply
The trouble comes when you have a small form factor computer case
A lot of power supplies will not fit

Do you have full size case, mid size, mini, or micro sized case?
Also how many watts is your current power supply?

Output : AC220v 3.5A 50hz
Input: AC220V 1.5A 50hz

is this the one??

Can you post a snap of the case?
That would be a whole lot easier.

Or if you PC Cabinet (case) is of a particular brand, do mention its model number.

i just bought the CPU, so the CPU it new and the monitors,keyboard etc are old)
