Wonder if you guys could help me - again?
My PC (running XP Service Pack 3) seems to have picked up a whole heap of nasty infections during the Christmas period - I suspect when the nephews and nieces were over! I've been able - so far - to get Spybot and Malwarebytes to quarantine most of the problems, but I keep getting loads of alerts off AVG, the latest having quarantined Trojan horse Agent2.AESC and VundoIE. Now suddenly my desktop wallpaper has been replaced with a green screen featuring a huge central alert message:
"YOUR SYSTEM IS INFECTED - System has been stopped due to a serious malfunction. Spyware activity has been detected. It is recommended to use spyware removal tool to prevent data loss. Do not use the computer before all spyware removed."
I've found similar threads on this issue while searching your forums but thought it better to start up one of my own, as you suggest, in the hope you might be able to help me. I'm attaching my HijackThis log just in case!
Thanks hugely in advance!
