Hello All, as a new user i am hoping i am placing this question in the appropriate topic!!!! I downloaded and ran Combofix to rid my Windows XP system of a rootkit that kept redirecting me to other sites when using Google and Yahoo. Malwarebytes and Spybot did not pickup on this problem at all. Hitman Pro 3.5 informed of a rootkit, but did not seem to remove it. Combofix on the otherhand has appeared to remove the rootkit from my system. Hitman Pro 3.5 does not detect the problem any longer. I now have a logfile from Combofix, that i will put on here (when instructed to) if you folks can tell me how to do that. All in all, i am wondering if the problem has been solved. Thank you so much for your time.
