Rumor 2 text problem?

Ok so after a certain amount of text messages I get the more it says I have one For example it says Text Messages (In the menu) and it will say (5) But there is no new messages...I went through all of them and it will still say I have missed messages but I have deleted all my messages and it goes away but then after awhile it comes back and the number increases over time....this is just annoying anyone no why it does this thanks <3

From main menu try: Settings > More > Data > Update Data Profile
