Microsoft Tech support deserves a round of applause  , I had a client who's son reformatted a Vista Dell machine to run XP and forgot to register the XP. I tricked the computer to clean install Vista Basic home and could not register the clean install. So, after going thru the automated phone setup and a rep telling me the disc was an upgrade copy, which I knew, she forwarded me to Microsoft Tech. This tech took me Deep, into the operating system, clicking on triangles! Anyway, the tech did help me register the upgrade disk !! And it was a tricked out clean install. Thought you guys might want to know?Alan

Phil, Vista was, a wreck waiting to happen. It is much improved after sp2. I have read recent benchmark tests, 6 test, that have Vista leading XP and windows7. The client bought Vista basic upgrade six months ago. I rescued a useless computer for a family wanting to give their son a Christmas present. Cheers! Alan

Hi I misunderstood!!! I thought you loaded Vista which is horrible! MS should give every Vista client a free copy of 7! I do not like working on it at all!
