Hello to All,
A little about myself.
I'm on the brink of full retirement and have been involved with computers and IT most of my adult life. My first computer was a Timex-Sinclair Z80 (remember those?) with 16K of RAM!(LOL) Once I had mastered Basic, that was it. I had chosen my career path. I'm a former Technical Director for a major cellular communications company, and most recently a VP of IT and Manufacturing for a medical manufacturing firm. I'm semi-retired now, but I still keep busy by building custom systems and networks for my own company. My personal system is an Athlon 64 X2 3800+, 2G RAM on an Asus A8N-SLI SE 2000MHz FSB mobo, nVidia GeForce 7600GS, twin 19" displays, and 1.25TB of SATA II storage. It shouldn't become a dinosaur for at least another 2 years!(LOL)
I'm here to learn more and continue to help others with viruses, malware and internet security. Hardware is hardware - "If it's broken, replace it!" - a perfect opportunity for a hardware upgrade! Bugs however, are electronic terrorism designed by those with evil intentions. Trojans and polymorphs, identity theft, where does it end? Anyway, here I am.
Oh, and my handle HogRyder? I've been riding motorcycles since I was 14 (a considerable time ago), and my current H-D is a custom '84 FXR. "Keep the sun at your back, the wind in your face, and the rubber side down!" AND "Let those who ride decide!"
So, here I am!
