HP software for all in one inkjet printers running on Windows 7 platform inserts two or three different start up items. hpqSRMon.exe and hpqtra08.exe are two that I have disabled with no apparent bad effects and no need to ever launch again independently. Launching the HP Solution Center software to control the all-in-one from my desktop, versus stand alone via the buttons on the all-in-one, seems to work fine and I see no lost functionality of the unit.

Has anyone ever run into a problem by disabling these two start ups? Has anyone ever had to launch them independently (vs. just running the Solution Center software application)?

These are usually the first things I disable after installing HP products. I'll enable them manually when I need to use the printer etc - that's if they are actually required to be enabled. No problems so far.

No single printer software needs to run as a startup.
