A few weeks ago, I was mindlessly clicking on a link, and my anti-virus software flipped out. I closed the browser down, and went along my way.

A couple days later, I restarted my computer. Now:
1. I can't connect to the internet (and IE, and Firefox won't even open).
2. The following programs' shortcuts are now blank:
3. I tried to reset the computer back to a restore point. It took about 5 hours, and then when the computer restart, it didn't take
4. When I re-boot the computer, it takes about 15 minutes to reboot

Ran malwarebytes, removed 7 piece of malware rebooted, and nothing works.

I can access task manager, and I can access the registry editor.

When I click on the shortcut or the executable for Firefox, the computer thinks for a minute and then nothing.

I also just clicked on a Word doc, and I got the following error message:

Your AutoCorrect file, c:\Users\Jeff\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office\MSO1033.ad could not be saved. The file may be read only, or you may not have permission to modify the file.

I can't access Word or Excel.

There are other shortcuts that are dead on the main desktop I just noticed, mostly the Adobe stuff, and the desktop/window switching icon in the quick start menu.

I don't have any disks or anything with my operating system on it.
