Hello all,

I'm currently following the step by step removal guide for Malware Defense but I can't get past even the first step as I can't access the internet on the computer in question. No box is checked and no proxy seems to exist on either my IE or my Firefox. I got the program in the first place while using Firefox. Upon downloading itself it also created a few shortcuts to websites and popups were coming up. At that point I could still use the internet. My Spysweeper JUST expired 3 days ago and when I went to download free AVG and renew my Spysweeper it corrupted my Spysweeper install and completely blocked my access to the internet. That's where I am now. If I try to use system restore it crashes my harddrive to prevent it from finishing.

Just to add it put 3 links on my desktop again though I'm not connected to the internet.

Alright I put everything on in a packet using USB and I'm now running Malwarebyes... Going to see how this works out.
