I ran an executable that was an infection. It seems to be a rootkit disabling many functions. I am running Windows XP and can boot into the Recovery Console for DOS commands, but loading the OS is a nightmare. Any advice on how best to proceed next is greatly appreciated. Is there anything I can do from the Recovery Console with DOS commands to help this along?

Thanks again.
