Afternoon all. I have a 2 1/2 year old vista machine from Acer. Recently my hard drive crashed and I had to buy a new one..(seagate, 500 gb) I also bought a new wifi card for desktops... (d-link xtreme N) To start my new HD I had to use an old version of win xp, that I no longer have the proper OEM # for. The # I used, I had to find on the net. That was enough to get me an OS. It works with my new wifi, but only limited. When I reinstall my vista, that I made when my pc was new. It works fine, untill I install the wifi. Then I have maybe 1 minute before it freezes. My vista is a legal disc, and want to use it but, can't use it with my wifi. Acer suggested that I use a restore point....Duh...It's a new HD.... The old one is dead and I can't use it to get a restore point. It's been 2 weeks of trying everything...I'm at my wits end. Other than getting a bigger hammer, I don't know what else to do. Any Ideas?????

 Thanx

If a user persists and/or the activity is obviously illegal the staff reserves the right to remove such content and/or ban the user. This would also mean encouraging the use or continued use of pirated software is not permitted, and subject to the same consequences.

While we understand your frustration with Acer support, we cannot allow the continued discussion of use of pirated software.
