When Windows was installed i must have made some sort of mistake, because the sound doesnt work. It appears as if no audio drivers are installed. I have tried reistalling it with the installation guide, scanning for drivers on the HDD, in the xp install disc and on some other discs that came with the comp. I tried scanning for drivers with windows live update, but since i have changed my network setup at one point it tries to "dial up" in a broadband connection. I was foolish enough not to click the settings button and the connection window has not come up again, even after repeating what made it came up the first place. Can i somehow check for drivers some other way using windows update? I cant find any cd labled with anything implying audio drivers.

yeah, the problem with that particular comp is that msinfo32 wont run. Cpuz doesnt seem to give that sort of info and i dont know where it say in the papers. You dont happen to know which registry entry that contains the information?

Edit: Just checked on another comp where that info was stored (the other one's a HP). It should be stored at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\(some company name or something)\DMI

There was not alot of entries under software and i checked through most of them, no results.
