This morning, my hubby tried to go to the Sears.com website and he said a window popped in from the side asking him to grant access or deny, but he granted it. After that...it kept taking him to "antivirus live" website saying the computer was infected and so on. When I just X'd out of it, Porn sites start coming up by themselves. I tried to open McAfee to run it..but it gives me an error message saying its infected. If I try to open internet explorer, it says page cannot be found and the pop ups keep coming. I tried to do a system restore..but the same..it won't let me and tells me its infected. It won't let me do ANYTHING other than open up "my pictures". I have about 1000 pictures on my computer I haven't burned to cdroms that I would really hate to lose. I have NO IDEA what to do. I haven't shut the computer down, should I try that?

Running Windows XP on laptop, wireless router.

It attached a little blue shield with a white stripe across it to the bottom of my task bar and nothing I do will remove it. I right clicked it, but it just opens it up. Can't run a virus scan, nothing. Can't access internet from the laptop either because it blocks me from doing so. Suggestions????
