While browsing the web, I contracted some sort of bug in which my Symantic Antivirus shows that it is scanning outgoing emails that I am not sending. If I turn off the scan email function it stops and it doesn't seem to do anything if I turn my internet off. But when I turn the email scan off, my computer is still running slow and picks up trojans easily.

My Symantic only tells me about the emails being sent, but a scan of my computer shows nothing.
I have run combofix and maleware bytes yet my computer still does this. Only while I am on safemode will it not send those messages.

Once earlier my symantic said it picked up a atapi.sys vir but that has been since removed.

Could this still be causing a problem? Or is there a hidden virus I need to manually removed?

Kevin

Maybe fully update the Malwarebytes program, reboot the computer and run a Malwarebytes scan and see if it gives any pointers for the problem and go from there ?

I tried updating my maleware bytes but it did not work.

Yesterday the email messages stopped for some reason. I checked the symantec settings and it was still set to scan emails, yet the messages didn't show up and my internet worked fine.

I turned my computer off last night and when I turned it on this morning the previous problem reoccurred. I ran Malewarebytes, Symantec, and Combofix again, but nothing is showing up.
