pdf won't open in browser, instead it will open in adobe reader itself; this started happening after uninstalling adobe reader and installing foxit; then trying to uninstall foxit reader and taking out any registry entries that had to do with foxit and then reinstalling adobe reader again; the browser is mozilla firefox 3.6 Beta 5 and on a windows vista; if there is a pdf on the page it will pop up an error: The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again. i have already tried reinstalling Adobe Reader 9.2, and following the instructions on http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/328/328233.html, except steps 7, 10-13 and trying to install the adobe reader plugin for firefox.
