My wifes Dell 6 year old laptop is running very slowly. In an attempt to speed things up I have undertaken the following:

1. Performed a disc clean-up
2. Performed disc defragment
3. run Ccleaner
4. run on-access McAfee virus checker (15 things deleted)
5. run a quick scan of Malwarebytes (3 things detected and removed)
6. run a full scan using a-squared free (one medium risk detected - but a-squared free cannot remove it)

The medium risk identified by a-squared free is the following:

Trace.Directory.Thinkertec SpyPal!A2

Any help removing this would be greatly appreciated
