regestry virus ?

I posted this once in another topic , im not sure if that was the correct one or not , but here it is anyways ..

I have windows xp , and somehow I got a virus disalbed my task manager , cmd prompt , an my regedit .
I searched online an tried several ways to enable it , from Msconfig. and from group policy ..Nothing is working , Anytime I reastart the computer its up an running . It planted itself in my startup , without the regestry working I can't track it down . Anyone have anyy information ???
Its drivin me nuts .

Everything you report...suggests that your system is infected, IMO.

I suggest that you take a look at BleepingComputer.com - Am I infected What do I do - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/f/103/am-i-infected-what-do-i-do/. Please follow all administrative guidance posted or suggested.
