I have windows XP. I use firefox browser. When my computer is restarted, it is very slow to boot. When it goes from the welcome page (blue) to the display page of icons, there is a message that says: Windows cannot find logon exe. Make sure you typed it correctly and try again. I get internet explorer pop-ups although I am using firefox. I often have to restart my computer because it freezes and I have no options that respond. MalwareBytes does not fully download. When RKill is run, I get the doss box and the 2 paragraphs, it bleeps for about 2 minutes, then it shuts down. I end up back on the display page in a viscious cycle.
I had a similar problem that rkill solved, but this thing seems to have gotten smart. Before I can queue it up to run the rkill, the Windows message is already there ahead. I would appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.
