Okay a couple of weeks ago i accidently turned of the surge protector that my computer is plugged on. Now my computer wouldnt start windows xp.

My computer keeps restarting and tells me this

"We apologize for the inconvenience, but Windows did not start successfully..." and the screen would give me a couple options to select from.

I tried booting it in Safe Mode, Safe Mode with Networking, Safe Mode with Command Prompt, Last Known Good Configuration, and Start Windows Normally.

none of them work and just restarts itself again
I tried performing the recovery console, and to the point where it asks me which installation i would log on to, it will give me two options.

1: h:/ MiniInt
2: h:/ I386

i try typing 1 or 2, but it wont do anything. can anyone help me find out why it doesnt do anything after that?

OS: windows xp

Try setting the defaults in the BIOS...if you can get in the BIOS.
