My printer started to fade and smear when printing. I realigned the cartridges. No help. Replaced the black and realigned. No help. The next time I used it, it made about 5 real fast strokes, then attempted to print. No black printing, but it did print red at about half the darkness. Put the original black cartridge in, realigned, printed test page which was good. Tried to print document and it is now skipping every other line. The error says, No connection, turn on or connect computer, install/run device software. Connections are good, moved them to other USB ports. Ran install disc. Still only printing every other line. Thanks for any help.

I would totally uninstall everything and start over from scratch
Download the drivers from their support site and try using them

Thanks for taking your time and sharing your info. I did reinstall from the install disc but I'll use the links you provided for me. Thanks again.
