I wrote a couple days ago about problems with Windows XP hanging after a virus attack (thought it was all cleaned up). Did every virus scan possible, including rootkit scan; did check disk, harddrive checks, etc. Could not boot in safe mode, so decided to do a repair install. It hung at 34 minutes. Another user said that this was caused by the virus. Anybody know anything about this?
