I have $450 (I might be able to go to $500, probably not though). I need a laptop...it will be used to browse the internet, manage a few excel spreadsheets, and for recording. IT MUST BE COMPATIBLE WITH FIREWIRE, either having a built in port or a PCMCIA slot to put a firewire card in. It must work with the device linked at the bottom, preferably meeting the recommended specs. If anyone can help me, that would be great! If you want to know anything else, just ask. Link

Whoops, heres the purchase template.

My budget for the new computer is: $450

What are the primary uses for this computer (IE: mail, web browsing, programming, games, etc)? Web browsing, recording

What software do you intend on using on the computer? Studio One

Do you play games? If so, what type of games? I play a bit of runescape, and facebook games

Do you tend to have a lot of programs running at the same time, or do you close every program when you are done using it? I tend to have a few programs up, but I will close out of them if they are causing me trouble.

Do you store a lot of pictures or music on the computer? A bunch of music will be saved to this computer.
