unknown partition question

Hi
The partitions that came with the system include one unknown partition

Namely the 3rd one. It's around 3GB.
Does anyone know what it is? Thanks.

I would have to say if you don't know call tech support. If this is a computer from like DELL, Acer, and ETC then it might be proprietary program files but I would not know for sure. I however would be concerned if someone game you this computer with spyware and other such nasty's on there but I highly doubt it!! Who makes this computer and we can discuss this further!!

hi,,,, most hp pc's have a recovery partition of around 12gb,,, i see you have that as No4,,, see if you can merge it back into the main partition.

Since this partition was installed on your PC at the HP factory (or so it seems), I would suggest leaving it alone until you can determine its use.
Whereof one cannot speak, thereof one should be silent.
