I've owned a Dell 1535 for the past year. From time to time when I cold start my computer I get a continous high-pitch beep that last about 2-3 minutes until the computer reaches a certain point in the booting sequence then the beeping stops. This started about 6 months ago. There's nothing else wrong with the computer except this issue. I haven't noticed any processing issues and speakers work fine when playing music or videos. any help out there?????

If the computer has one, try removing and re-seating the video card.
Remove the memory and re-seat that
The last time this happened to me, it was actually a bad CPU fan. It overheated just enough at startup to cause an alarm

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try that and let you know if it worked.
