I want you to fix some of those entries. Please do the following:

First Disable System Restore. You can find instructions on how to enable and reenable system restore here:

Managing Windows Millenium System Restore
or

Windows XP System Restore Guide

Please make sure that you can view all hidden files. Instructions on how to do this can be found here:

How to see hidden files in Windows

Just fix these

Reboot your computer into Safe Mode and delete the following files:

Then delete these
C:\WINDOWS\bhirsysv.exe


Renable system restore with instructions from tutorial above

Reboot your computer to go back to normal mode and post a new log

Ok, I'm running Windows 98 and I cannnot turn off System Restore or Show All Hidden Files.

Canned responses isnt always fitting to certain oeprating systems. I am sure Plimsol didnt mean it though :thumbsup:

on how to show hidden files in win98.

Follow the directions about other than system restore to clean it up

Nope, none that I'm aware of.

I just wanted to scan this computer because, like I've said, it hasn't been formatted in quite awhile. And my sister doesn't know how to handle computers extremly well either, so I wasn't sure if it was infected in any way.
