Basically, I noticed the other day that AVG wouldn't update, nor would my Spybot. I ran a scan, and AVG found a number of viruses with the "result/infection" being listed as "trojan horse Injector.Gt." However, when these files are deleted the computer asks me to restart, but when I do the problem resurfaces. The scan also indicates that the virus has infected files in AVG and Spybot too. I tried forum advice on similar threats, like the Trojan Horse Injector.EL, but it didn't help (such as using Malwarebytes, uninstalling/reinstalling AVG, etc..). Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  • A small box will open, with an explaination about the tool. No input is needed, the scan is running.
  • Notepad will open with the results.
  • Follow the instructions that pop up for posting the results.
  • Close the program window, and delete the program from your desktop.
Please note: You may have to disable any script protection running if the scan fails to run. After downloading the tool, disconnect from the internet and disable all antivirus protection. Run the scan, enable your A/V and reconnect to the internet.
