my mate has an amd sempron 2400 in his copmuter and wants to know if this is a 2.4ghz i have no idea if it is or not but it runs hl2 fine so i think it is
If the universe is ever expanding, what are we expanding into?

No, it isn't. In AMD Sempron 2400+, the 2400+ is the model number, the frequency is 1667 MHz. But the frequency isn't everything and it is about comparable to an Intel Celeron running at 2400 MHz.

It is not worth it to get too caught up in clock speeds, caches, and front side busses, as long as everything is working and the processor is running whatever you want it to run fast enough everything is good.
