Google redirect and Computer is slugish

Hello, My 6 month old computer has been invaded by a virus, when I go to google, the search finds are redirect and also my Computer is slugish

Windows XP Pro w/ Service Pack2
I use MS Office 2003 and 99% of the time the Explorer browser, but also have used FireFox

I have been using Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and AVG Internet Security Software
for the past 6 months.

Any help is appreciated
