Hello all. I just reloaded a Dell Optiplex GX270. This system was completely flattened and cleaned, so I had to load it from the ground up
with Win XP Prof. loaded all drivers and pc is fine...except for the DVD/rw cdrom.
The dvd drive itself is fine it ran XP OS disc and other software discs but when I put in a game that requires DVD it does not
recognize it.

Now I poked around on the web before bothering you guys out here and I understand it needs a codec. So, I loaded k-lite codec pack
which did allow the DVD drive to play DVD movies but still won't recognize DVD gaming discs.

If anyone has any info to offer I'd really appreciate it.

Thanks
