OK...I was unable to turn on Real Time file system protection (Symantec Corporate edition). I was also unable to update my virus definitions. When I tried to run a virus scan, it would immediately stop, and say "scan stopped by user". I rebooted into safe mode, did an update, and then a scan. It came up with nothing. I am still unable to turn on my real time file system protection.
Any network application that I try to access, locks up. I cannot access the internet. I cannot open network properties. But my network communications are working, because I can access shared drives.
I am running Windows Server 2003.
