I am sorry but I did not see this forum before. I was having problem with my system recently so today I just ran combofix.

I had some malware on my computer. My google search links were getting redirected to some weird websites. I used to also get popup in a new tab about some survey. I am using firefox. The popup surveys used to come once in a while before and not regularly but atleast once when I was opening the browser.

The combfix gave me a message about some rootkit activity and and also after a couple of restarts it stored the log.
I was testing the system by opening up the browser but ill now everything looks ok.

I posted the message in XP related issues and was rightly pointed out to this forum where I read that I should nt have tried combofix on my own.

so I do not know whether the problem is fixed or not but I am not getting any popup surveys until now.

What should be my next step? about the log file...
