On startup I am getting the following error message:

STOP: c0000034 {Fatal System Error }
The Windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000034 (0x00000000 0x00000000).
The system has been shut down.

Operating System: Windows XP

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I can't say for certain because I have automatic updates turned on and it usually updates on its own, but I would say mostly likely.

Try pressing F8 during startup. . It will go to a boot menu for xp. Choose "Use the last known good configuration" first . If that doesnt work. Try Safe Mode and access CMD that way and follow Riversoft link.

If "Last known good configuratio is no go"
and safe mode is no go
then you must user you xp cd to boot to recovery mode and access command that way.
