Hi I have a Windows XP PC that had no service packs installed.
It had AntiAid installed.
I set it so Hidden Files are shown and System protected file are visible
and turned off System Restore

Removed any programs that looked suspicious from add and remove programs incl AntiAid
Ran CCleaner, then SuperAntispyware ( and removed any malware it found)
I installed Malwarebytes AntiMalware but couldn't get it to run, I renamed the exe
and tried to run but it opens for 3 seconds then shuts down.
I then ran combofix which didn't seem to find anything
Then Spybot Search and Destroy which found some which I removed.
I then installed Service Pack 2 which installed fine
Then installed Avg 9.0, I ran a scan without updating and it found 1 item
Anytime i try to update AVG i get the message
"Access is forbidden by the server"

Also trying to install Firefox, it won't let me.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
