Any idea whether or not I can copy (back-up) the Xp and Win7 system drivers and hardware drivers on to CD or Pendrive.
If so, how is it done without corrupting the system and its applications.

Sure...create a slipstreamed CD for XP, using nLite.

I don't know about Win 7 working with nLite.
