G'day from Western Australia!

To business - my computer has been infected by the Vundo trojan horse for some weeks now and will not allow me to remove it.

Software tried

AVG free
Spybot S & D
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

A little knowledge can be dangerous so rather than make things worse I have come to you for help. Below is the log from Hijackthis taken today - it means nothing to me but please tell me you understand it - pretty please?

Should have noted that it is being picked up by AVG Resident Shield in file named tdlcmd.dll (used to be called tdlwsp.dll but the name changed about a week ago)

Each time it is being removed to virus vault but regenerates.

Solved it! The hard way :-)

Thought that if I actually did the MS updates that I had been ignoring, there might be a fix in amongst the 2 service packs and 88 updates. There might have been but I managed to put my computer into a coma in ICU instead LOL

Long story short I had to recover back to factory settings and lost Vundo.jd in the process. It has taken me 2 days to get the software back on and working but no - read that NO Vundo.jd

Thank heavens I had done a data backup on the 16th Dec!

So, thank you for reading this far, but the problem for me has been solved.

Jenny Brandis

Having grandkids is God's way of giving you a 2nd chance because you were too busy working your butt off the 1st time around
