I have Ad-aware, Malware Bytes, and Super Anti Spyware installed on my computer from August 2009. I am preparing to upgrade from Vista to 7 on my HP desktop. It says to remove all programs that are incompatible with Windows 7. Which of these programs do I need to uninstall?
I started to remove Super Anti Spyware and it's asking me "Do you wish to remove all scanning logs and quarantined items?" What will happen to those quarantined items if I remove Super-Anti Spyware? Will they be permanently deleted or will they go back to infecting my computer?
Other programs I have downloaded since August are CCleaner, Acrobat, Adobe Flash, Firefox
I also have an expired Norton Trial that came with the computer. I just purchased the new Norton 2010 which I did not install yet, thought I'd wait until I had 7 and then put it on.
The system has been asking me to upgrade Java, do I need to do that before I install 7?

Run Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor and uninstall the software it shows incompatible.

When uninstalling an anti-spyware software it would ask whether to delete files in quarantine, answer yes. There is no point of keeping the quarantined spyware.

You can check compatibility for any software and hardware at the Windows 7 Compatibility Center.

I just purchased the new Norton 2010 which I did not install yet, thought I'd wait until I had 7 and then put it on.

You might as well wait to install it until you have Windows 7. Another good antivirus software to have is Microsoft Security Essentials - it's a free download and is designed to work seamlessly with Windows 7.

Hope that helps! Good luck and keep us posted
