hard drive crash

Hello and thanks
I am using xp home, my computer froze up on 12 18 and had to re boot. Went into a loop and would not load windows. I used a recovery disk and got control but all desktop and program files were gone like I had a new computer. I have pc angel on drive d but it is non diplayable and I dont know how to use it or if it will restore c drive. I hate to walk into a forum and ask for help without even saying hi, but thank you. oh yeh Hi

System manufacturer and model?

Did you use a legal/valid recovery disk for that system?

Have you tried any recovery software? Based on what you've stated thus far...that seems like what you need to do (IMO).
