I have a problem where 2 of the 4 the computers on my network are unable to connect to the internet.
The work OK onstart upo ,but after about 10 mins they can no longer connect.
If I run a windows repair on the LAN connection generally every thing works OK for approx another 10 minutes before the connection is lost.
Sometimes however the repair does not work and needs to re run a couple of times.

I'm running XP Sp3. All PC's are connected to each other and the web via a Linksys RT31PT2 router

Whne the problem ocurss and I try to ping a website or the dbs I get a message returned

Reply from 192.168.1.1: Destination net unreachable.

I am still able to ping others PC's inside the newtork but not get out to the web.

I have tried changing to different DNS servers but it makes no difference.
Having windows firewall on or off also makes no difference.
The RT31P2 is daisy chained to a BEFSR41 router.
The RT31P2 has an ATA adapter and I am able to make voip calles even when the PC's are uable to reach the web.
I am also always able to ping other PC's on the network when the error occurs.
The network is wired - not wireless.

I'm running the latest paid version of Malwarebytes. A scan shows no errors.
I'm running Avast Beta 3 and it also shows no errors.

Recently I installed a new Lan printer (Kyocera 1030DN) which caused me to have to change the IP opf the gateway on the RT31P2
The Gateway on the printer could not be changed from 192.168.1.1. All PCs on the lan are now set to the new Gateway IP and all PC's can ping each other
The problem commenced after this but I did not notice it immediately.

The problem does not ocurr on the PC's where the new printer is yet to be installed.

DHCP is enabled on the router but not on the PC's NIC.

The MS network diagnostic give the following

WinSock status

info Error attmpting to validate the Winsock base providers: 2
error Not all base service provider entries could be found in the winsock catalog. A reset is needed.
info Redirecting user to support call

I tried running a number of winsock fixes including the one from Microsoft. None of these resolved the problem.
I have run netsh winsock reset catalog and netsh winsock reset. The problem persists.

Winsock catalog is as follows

Perhaps further to this I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling Cleint for MS Networks QOS Packet sharing and Filke and Printer sharing and that does not help.

Interestingly I cannot uninstall TCP/IP ie the option is not allowed for some reason.

Any ideas please ??
