When using IE common words become links eg: "help, personal, members, dog, cat" and the link directs me to "http://server4.103092804.com/Release3/linkredirect.php?h=40061,272084,1124137496"

Also, pop-ups happen a lot too...

Thanks,
.drew.

Hello,

It's better to print out the next instructions or save it in notepad, because you also have to work in safe mode without networking support, so this page wouldn't be available then.
It is also important you don't miss a step and perform everything in the right order!!

* Download and install CCleaner
Do not use it yet.

* Please set your system to show all files; please see here if you're unsure how to do this.

* Start HijackThis, close all open windows leaving only HijackThis running. Place a check against each of the following:

R3 - Default URLSearchHook is missing
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qAZYp.exe] C:\documents and settings\chad\local settings\temp\qAZYp.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [I2l8Bl1.exe] C:\documents and settings\chad\local settings\temp\I2l8Bl1.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [qAZYp] C:\documents and settings\chad\local settings\temp\qAZYp.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [I2l8Bl1] C:\documents and settings\chad\local settings\temp\I2l8Bl1.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [eIFuE] C:\documents and settings\gabe\local settings\temp\eIFuE.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [8rzNv7] C:\documents and settings\donn\local settings\temp\8rzNv7.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [6b6ceb067bb5] C:\WINDOWS\System32\catsrvps.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [ohru.exe] c:\windows\system32\ohru.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [g] C:\windows\system32\g.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [3] C:\windows\system32\3.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [Bad] C:\Documents and Settings\Donn\Desktop\Bad.exe
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [2558d5f61e5f] C:\WINDOWS\system32\adptif59.exe
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [YotnRRb7T] ntvpdmoe.exe
O4 - Global Startup: Microsoft Office.lnk = C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\OSA9.EXE

* Click on Fix Checked when finished and exit HijackThis.

* Reboot into Safe Mode`: ( without networking support !)
°To get into the Safe mode as the computer is booting press and hold your "F8 Key". Use your arrow keys to move to "Safe Mode" and press your Enter key.

* Using Windows Explorer, locate the following files and delete them if still present:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\catsrvps.exe
C:\WINDOWS\system32\adptif59.exe
c:\windows\system32\ohru.exe
C:\windows\system32\g.exe
C:\windows\system32\3.exe
C:\Documents and Settings\Donn\Desktop\Bad.exe

* Still in safe mode Start Ccleaner
click "Options", click the "Advanced" tab
Uncheck: "Only delete files older than 48 hrs.", click Ok
Click "Cleaner" and click Run Cleaner (bottom right)

* Reboot your system back to normal mode.

Post back a fresh HijackThis log and I'll take another look.

Hi Drew,

I see a clean hijackthislog here. Well done!

Perform a full scan with an updated Adaware SE and/or Spybot S&D to get rid of the leftovers.
