I have a desktop computer that recently began slowing down then a few days ago I started getting pop up saying i had a virus and to click to start my antivirus software. Well I fell for it....Now it has taken over my entire computer. At first it just would not let me go to any website but its own, then not to anything. I tried running Ad-Aware software to remove the malware. It said it found it and removed it but when rebooted it did same thing. So I ran my antivirus software and it had infected it as well. Now when I turn on the computer it can't get to my desktop...it logs off and starts again. I have no clue what to do now! Can you help or do I need to do a system restore to factory settings. That is really my last option. Can you help? Thanks!

Hey Roper ,

First things first , Start up the Pc and continuously press F8 you will then be given a list of options , using the keyboard arrows select safe mode with networking , most probably the virus will still be running but you should be able to get on the internet to download tools to remove this malware/virus

Tools recomended
Malware Bytes
Spybot Search and Destroy
Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician
