Have an HP computer G60. It came preloaded with windows 7. I dont like windows 7 or windows vista, so I decided to buy a retail windows XP disk, and install that on the machine. This was about a couple weeks ago.

Yesterday, I noticed the computer asking me to activate windows. I had activated it when I first loaded it onto the machine. There have been no hardware changes made to the machine. Why is it asking me for activation again? Whats even more funny is that the key that I put in the first time doesnt activate windows anymore.

Whats going on? How do I stop the thing from asking me for the activation key and giving the countdown of days?
