I leave my desktop on all the time. Recently i haven't been able to open IE after its been on for awhile. Recently updated from 7 to ie8. If I restart the computer I can get on but after leaving it on and trying to get on the next day, i click on the icon in the start menu and either nothing happens or the window will come up connecting but it will not say waiting for http and there is no green progress bar and it will sit there like that forever. didn't find and virus. even when opening other folders, my computer for instance, it seems to be taking alot longer. wondering if there was an error in the ie8 update or possible malware. thnaks for the help. I have had malware before in which you have informed me how to fix so i have some programs already. hijackthis, malwarebytes, fixwareout, combofix, etc.

i just uninstalled ie8 and reinstalled version 7. Just because there is an update available doesn't always mean its better. If its not broke, don't fiz it.
