Hopefully I am posting correctly. When I type in a name on google and click on the link it takes me to advertising.

So I must paste the address in address bar if I want to see the website.

I tried a few spyware programs they didn't work.

When I try to run adaware nt authority system pops up and shuts my computer down.

I thought I had service pack 3.

You dont say what browser you are using but try running it with no addons if you look on start menu both firefox and IE have a menu enter y no addons malwarbytes is probably your best bet. Try watching the screen when you hover over a link what does it show the url as this often tells you what the malware is or gives a clue

Ok thank you for your post after I wrote I went to **http://www.microsoft.com/athome/troubleshoot101.aspx**
then to scan your pc for free
after the scan, I clicked fix. I no longer have the redirects, but now I have a new problem: if I go to google and let's say click "cars" and lets say I click on *cars.com* I get internet explorer stating cannot display web page I must go to tools where I see "work offline" with a red x and I click on it so that "work offline" now has a black check mark on it. Then I refresh, then I can see the *cars.com* web page.

How can I solve this?

*Update* I can type an address on the search bar and the page comes up. I found it's only when I type in an address on the google search bar and it brings up a list of web sites to click on, when I click on one of these it say's working offline. If I refresh the page the page will come up. Using IE8.

I might be thinking a box popped up when I had panda software installed and it said something about disconnect from internet, but I'm not sure about this. I went back to the panda control panel, but couldn't still make it work.
