windows 7 error 5 access denied cannot open security center

i got an alert saying i should enable '' security center '' so i go too msconfig and it says it is stopped, i then go too '' services '' and try to start it and it says '' error 5 access denied cannot start on local computer '' i use Windows 7 how do i resolve this?? i have tried everything, by the way this only happened after i downloaded and eventually uninstalled Microsoft security essentials, and i heard of someone else having almost exactly the same issues.

What firewall do you have?

You said you uninstalled Microsoft Security Essentials .... Why? Did it work? Did it disable Windows Defender (as it should have)?
Do you have another Anti-virus program running?
